The 2025 Kia K5 kicks things off with style, power, and everyday practicality all rolled into one. With sharp looks, thrilling powertrains, and premium comforts, the K5 is a standout choice in the midsize sedan game. Let’s take a closer look at its features, performance, and tech.
Engine Options and Performance
The new K5 offers responsive performance, thanks to a 2.0L four-cylinder engine with 191 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the wheels through an 8-speed automatic, and front-wheel drive is standard. The GT-Line trim is available with all-wheel drive for increased traction and stability.
A turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine is available on the sportier GT trim. It pumps out 290 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque, giving you extra firepower for thrilling drives. The GT pairs the turbo-four with an exclusive 8-speed dual-clutch transmission and front-wheel drive. You’ll get unique brakes and a sport-tuned suspension that adds some real driving fun.
Exterior Styling
The base LXS comes with 16-inch alloy wheels, which can be optioned with 18-inch or 19-inch wheels on higher trims. LED headlights come standard, while fog lights are available on all trims except the base. The GT-Line and GT trims have a sportier body kit with more aggressive styling, gloss black accents, and unique wheel designs.
Interior Space and Amenities
Inside, the K5 is cushy and spacious, which is perfect for a family sedan. It offers a class-leading front legroom of 46.1 inches and 35.2 inches of rear legroom. You can haul 15.6 cubic feet worth of cargo, and there’s a standard hands-free power liftgate that gives you easy access to the trunk.
You’ll find cloth seats in the base model and SynTex-trimmed seats on higher trims. On the GT-Line and GT models, the seats have the trim logo for extra style. There’s a dual-zone automatic climate control system and available niceties like heated front seats, a 10-way power driver’s seat, and a heated steering wheel. A panoramic sunroof is optional on most trims.
Audio and Connectivity
An intuitive 12.3-inch touchscreen display serves as the infotainment interface. It is equipped with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM, Bluetooth, and available navigation. The display is paired with either a six-speaker stereo or a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system on some trims. The GT and EX trims add a 12.3-inch curved instrument display, giving you a cool dual-screen setup.
Driver-Assist Features
The K5 prioritizes your safety with a forward collision avoidance assist system that includes pedestrian and cyclist detection. You’ll also get smart cruise control, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, and a blind spot monitor. Front and rear parking sensors come standard as well.
