What options are available for trims?

The Kia Soul has three trim levels: base, Plus, and Exclaim. The base trim has air conditioning, rear privacy glass, Bluetooth, a height-adjustable driver seat, and a six-speaker sound system. The Convenience package is available to the base trim and offers automatic headlights, a rearview camera, automatic climate control, and a 7-inch touchscreen. The Convenience package comes standard on the Soul Plus trim. The Plus trim also includes upgraded cloth upholstery, foglights, keyless entry, heated mirrors, a cargo cover, a rear center armrest, and selectable drive modes. Many additional packages like the Audio package, the Primo package, and the Primo Lit package are all available to the Plus trim as well. The third and final trim is the Soul Exclaim with upgraded gauges and interior trim, upgraded exterior trim, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, keyless ignition and entry, and a mix of cloth and leather seat upholstery. The Technology package is available to the Exclaim trim and includes a large number of additional features.

What engines are available under the hood?

Each trim level comes with its own engine. The base engine is a 130 horsepower 1.6-liter inline-4 with 118 lb-ft of torque. The Plus trim comes with a 161 horsepower 2-liter inline-4 with 150 lb-ft of torque. The last engine is standard on the Exclaim trim and is a 1.6-liter turbocharged inline-4 with 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. All engines are paired with front-wheel drive, but each engine has their own transmission options. The base engine comes with the choice of a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic. The Plus and the Exclaim engines both only have one transmission choice, but they work best with the engines to provide an excellent 30 miles per gallon fuel economy. The Plus has a six-speed automatic transmission, while the Exclaim has a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
