New in 2018, the Kia Forte5 has changed a bit of its trim levels to include even more options. On the LX trim they have added some additional features to the Popular Plus package. Some of these new features include LED taillights, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and an all-new 16-inch alloy wheel design. The SX trim has also made the orange color pack standard. This pack includes orange stitching on the shifter, seats, and steering wheel. The leather seats will also come with a touch of orange as well.

What are the three available trim levels?

The three trim levels of the Kia Forte5 are the LX, EX, and the SX. The LX comes standard with 15-inch steel wheels, projector low-beam headlights with an escort function, power adjustable mirrors, solar control glass, a rear spoiler, a single chrome exhaust tip finisher, Bluetooth, a tire mobility kit, auxiliary input jacks, dual 12-volt power outlets, a cargo cover with cargo net hooks, woven cloth seat trim, and a rear center armrest with cupholders. The EX comes with additional smartphone integration, a seven-inch screen, automatic cruise control, a leather-wrapped gear shift knob, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated front seats, leather seat trim, a chrome parking brake button, overhead map lights, front foglights, a windshield wiper de-icer, and 17-inch alloy wheels. The final trim is the SX with features like 18-inch alloy wheels, gloss black exterior mirrors, dual chrome exhaust tip finishers, alloy pedals, and the orange color package.

How many engine options are available?

The LX and EX trims come with a 2-liter 4-cylinder gasoline direct injection engine that is matched with a six-speed automatic transmission. The SX trim comes standard with a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged gasoline direct injection engine that comes with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission or an optional six-speed manual transmission. This top trim is also standard with a sport-tuned suspension and a manual transmission shift indicator. Optional with the dual clutch transmission are steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters.

What are the standard features for safety?

Most of the safety and security features found on the Kia Forte5 are standard across the board. These features include full-length side curtain airbags, an anti-lock brake system, electronic stability control, dual front advanced airbags, hill-start assist control, height-adjustable front seat-belt anchors, vehicle stability management, a tire pressure monitoring system, dual front seat-mounted side airbags, a traction control system, drive seat-belt reminder, front active headrests, rear child safety door locks, and an impact sensing auto door unlock. Some of the more optional features would be lane change assist, rear cross traffic alert, blind spot detection, an engine immobilizer, a perimeter approach lighting, and drive mode select.
